MergeIt is a puzzle game published by Z. Erden Dereli. You can play the entire game without giving us your name, your email address or any other identifying detail. This page explains the data the game does handle, why it exists, and how to remove it.
The account
- MergeIt signs you in anonymously through Firebase Authentication. This creates a random player ID on first launch. There is no email address, no password, no phone number, and no link to your Apple ID.
- The player ID exists so your scores, your friends and your purchases survive a reinstall.

Settings, level progress and your coin wallet are kept on your device. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card, your billing address or your Apple ID.
Advertising
- MergeIt shows optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. You only see one when you choose to watch one.
- On first launch iOS asks whether MergeIt may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you say no, or never answer, ads are still shown but they are not personalised, and no advertising identifier is shared.
- You can change this at any time in iOS Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
Notifications
The daily reminder is optional and is scheduled on your device by iOS. Nothing is sent from a server and no notification token leaves your phone.
Children
MergeIt is rated 4+ and contains no violence, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created a profile, write to us and we will delete it.
Deleting your data
- Open MergeIt, go to Settings, and choose Delete My Data.
- This removes your leaderboard entry, your display name, your avatar and photo, your friend code, every friend request involving you, and everything the game saved on your device. It cannot be undone.
- If you have deleted the app already, write to zerdendereli@icloud.com from any address and tell us your display name or your friend code. We will delete the record within 30 days.
- Analytics and crash reports are aggregated and no longer connected to your player ID, so they cannot be traced back to a single person or removed individually.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see what we hold, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how it is used. The deletion route above is the fastest way to exercise the strongest of those. For anything else, write to zerdendereli@icloud.com.

Security
Data travels over encrypted connections and Firestore security rules restrict what any single player can read or change. No system is perfect, so please do not put anything private in your display name.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
